The Wilson Sisters are excited to host their CopRice Showtym Camps ON LOCATION throughout New Zealand, and also at HOME on their Northland property.
During our camps every rider will have a ONE HOUR group lesson with Vicki, Kelly and Amanda in turn, plus a cross-country of jumping lesson as their fourth rotation. Amanda and Vicki are two of New Zealand’s most highly sought-after instructors and will focus on position, jumping techniques and the three rules of the classroom: balance, rhythm and straightness. Lessons are tailored to suit each rider's riding level and ambitions. Kelly will be running a series of fun, yet educational, activities - including obstacle courses, games and a jumping Tip 'n' Out learning environment while getting back to grass roots and focusing on having fun with the ponies!
Please note that these are for riders with their own horses; we have no lease horses available. We feel that riders can benefit much more from being taught on their own horses, as they can develop the confidence and skills needed to get the best from their equine partner.
Camp riders are divided into small groups for the lessons, to take account of each rider's level and ensure that everyone is able to feel confident and progress in a safe, yet challenging, environment. From riders learning to canter to those competing at Grand Prix level, the Wilson sisters can offer insightful and relevant tuition. Camps are the perfect opportunity to try new things and it is a pleasure to watch the confidence of both horses and riders develop.
In between lessons there will be no time for boredom... the days are full of adventure with a combination of demonstrations, horsemanship and educational clinics, bush bashing, seminars, scavenger hunts, dance parties and evening entertainment. Vicki, Kelly and Amanda aren't just your hosts and instructors during the Showtym Camps - they will be right there in the middle of the fun, forming lifelong memories alongside everyone else!
Prices include daily tuition, demonstrations, clinics and entertainment with the Wilson Sisters, three meals per day, yards, camping and ground fees (plus bunk style accommodation at our HOME camps; The camps at the Showtym Property are Kids ONLY, the young riders learn, ride and grow here outside of their comfort zone away from parental supervision whilst been carefully looked after by the Showtym Team; ON LOCATION riders sleep in their trucks, floats or tents). ON LOCATION we also have options available for non-riders and adult supervisors; they are able to join in on all activities except lessons. Please note that ON LOCATION adults are also welcome as RIDERS which is a popular choice; they will be paired with those of similar age and level where possible.
Rider - $500 ($575 incl. GST)
Non-Rider - $240 ($276 incl. GST)
Adult Supervisor - $160 ($184 incl. GST)
“All and all it was a fantastic experience, and you girls made it that. The whole team is a pretty amazing bunch of young woman and you should feel so proud that you are creating these amazing experiences and memories for both the kids and the parents. We certainly can't wait for the next camp, and I think I will even bring my horse next time! Once again thank you so much for coming to Christchurch and giving us all the ‘Showtym Camp’ experience.”
Alecia McKnight – Christchurch Camp
“Wow, just WOW is my feedback. Words cannot describe how much Kacia and I enjoyed your camp - from the minute we arrived we were buzzing and didn't want to leave at the end. As a parent we were included in everything, giving us so much great information and help. The food was to die for, well done those in the kitchen! Lessons with Vicki, Kelly and Amanda were amazing. Everything about the camp was just fantastic, thank you to Heather, Vicki, Kelly, Amanda and Alexa for such a wonderful experience and we look forward to our next camp.”

“I’m just writing to let you know how much I loved your camp in Masterton - four days with you guys was an absolute dream come true. All of you girls are so down to earth, I felt really welcome. I still can’t believe I met you girls let alone had lessons with you all! Now I want to start show jumping - you girls have improved my confidence by miles! I can ride my pony with confidence, we’re a team now.”
Samantha Marriott – Masterton Camp
“WOW!!! I was a bit apprehensive about sending Rebecca aged 7 to camp with a broken arm but I am so pleased I did. It was perfect timing to build Rebecca's confidence - she set herself goals each day and achieved them! The knowledge/talent/skill/natural ability you all have is above and beyond. I think your tour has been a great opportunity for the kids that can't get to your camps at home. I would recommend your camps to all others.”
Toni Andersen – Masterton Camp
“The Marlborough Camp was awesome and incredible value. From the lessons to the horsemanship, sore horse work, saddle fitting, teeth advice etc, it really added unbeatable experiences and learning. By getting around New Zealand and helping riders understand their horses' behaviour and wellbeing, I believe you have made a huge difference to the lives of the horses involved, and the camper’s future horses. Please come back to Marlborough in the future!”
